Nemzetközi konferencia a szociális munka fejlődéséről átmeneti országokban

 Dear Colleagues ...,

We are pleased to announce the First International Conference for Advancement of Social Work in Countries with Transition Economies. It will be held on June 23rd and 24th2015 at the Free International University of Moldova (ULIM) in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. We would also appreciate if you could forward this letter to any known contacts that might be interested in this event.

The purpose of this conference is to stimulate a dialogue on the reform of social protection in countries with transition economies that exist within the post-Soviet geopolitical environment. Policy-makers and members of academe will discuss how the social work profession will be developed through higher education and will be modernized through systematic policies and practices.

We are accepting topics for presentations at the conference. If you are planning to come to the conference and would like to present, click here (deadline: May 1st)

This event will offer a unique opportunity for professionals in this sphere to present and discuss the challenges and obstacles; ideas and strategies; best practices; and research results in relation to social work. Our goal is to nurture a new generation of competent social work practitioners, to contribute to effective social policy reforms, and to elevate social work education to meet the demands of the twenty-first century.

The conference was made possible through the partnership between the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Family in Moldova, ULIM, and Project Casa Mare.  It is funded in part by a grant from the United States Department of State.
