Association for the Training of Social Professionals (Schools' Association)

The Association for the Training of Social Professionals in Hungary was founded more than 25 years ago with the aim of bringing together and coordinating the work of institutions training social professionals in Hungary, to advocate for the training and the interests of its members, and to promote and protect the quality of social work/pedagogy/policy training.

Over the past 25 years, numerous discussions, consultations and workshops have contributed to the development and improvement of social work/pedagogy/policy training. The Schools' Association has always sought to provide a context for this development work which has helped to raise issues and to take a multi-faceted approach to the issues, while emphasising the values of the social profession.

Given the factors affecting the social professions and the various developments in higher education, it is perhaps even more important in the period ahead to make issues concerning the profession and the teaching of the profession a subject for dialogue.

Our association currently has 10 institutional (universities) and 25 individual members.

Chairperson: Bányai Emőke, PhD
